KAYMA
PRE-PRODUCTION MODEL
DIGITAL IMPULSE IMAGE INTENSIFIER TUBE (IIT)
New production technology of IITs of 2+ Generation enhances the performance of night vision devices and allows them to operate day and night. The upper level of illumination increased up to 20000 lx - a day level of illumination without direct sunlight.
IIT "Kayma" better resists light flashes, adapting automatically to different illumination levels. Foreign IIT producers call this technology "auto-gating". But "Kayma" operates in a slightly different way, its resolution isn't getting low under high illumination, resolution remains the same within all operating illumination range. When programming IIT it is also possible to take into account ambient temperature and other factors, influencing on the operating characteristics of IIT.
"Kayma" has a photocathode diameter of 18 mm, standard dimensions - diameter 43 mm, length 29 mm, sensitivity and resolution depend on the vacuum part of IIT. Weight of IIT is 120 g.

NEW GENERATION OF NIGHT VISION DEVICES
Overall dimensions of the new IIT coincide with the dimensions of classic IITs with fiber-optic plates, inverter or non-inverter. Thus the new IITs can be installed into the existing night vision devices. Public JSC "Production Association "NPZ" manufactured samples of the devices with IIT "Kayma" - hunting sights PN-6K, PN6K-4 and night vision device PN-14K, they all successfully passed the trials. In the nearest future this IIT will be used in new compact night vision goggles PNN14.
